Custom Orders
Rustic Heritage Co. specializes in custom-made rustic furniture and millwork. If you are located nearby, we invite you to visit our workshop or showroom to view materials, colours, and textures in person.
For custom orders, a 50% deposit is required to begin crafting. The balance will be collected after a thorough quality inspection and before the item is packaged for shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
Real Wood Furniture
Rustic Heritage Co. uses only real wood products for all furniture and millwork. Many of our pieces are crafted from solid wood slabs and logs, and we seek out wood with natural characteristics such as cracks, knots, and variations in grain. These features are not considered defects but rather add to the character and authenticity of each piece.
1. Natural Imperfections
-
Wood is a natural material and will inherently have knots, cracks, and color variations. These imperfections are not considered defects, but character elements that enhance the uniqueness of the furniture.
-
Our reclaimed wood may include nail holes, patches, saw marks, and other natural blemishes. These are signs of the wood’s history and should be embraced as part of the design.
-
New wood products will have some degree of knots, checking, or minor cracks, all of which add to the piece's character.
2. Wood Movement
-
Wood adjusts to the moisture content in the air, which may result in slight movement or cracking over time. This is a natural occurrence and is not considered a defect.
-
Our wood slabs are kiln-dried to minimize movement, but minor shifts may still occur. Cracks may develop and can be filled with wood putty or highlighted for contrast, depending on the customer’s preference.

Payments & Processing of Invoices
Rustic Heritage Co. reserves the right to provide terms of payment. Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be received prior to the acceptance of an order. Payment for products can be made via credit card, etransfer, or direct deposit, and orders may be invoiced separately.
Invoices must be paid in full before shipping, delivery, or pick-up. Rustic Heritage Co. reserves the right to charge a late penalty of 3% per month for overdue amounts, or the maximum rate allowed by law, whichever is less. Additional late penalties will apply every 30 days thereafter.
Refund Policy
Rustic Heritage Co. offers a one-year warranty on major cracking, twisting, and warping of furniture, and a two-year warranty on finishes. Minor cracks or variations in wood are normal and not covered under this warranty. General wear and tear is not covered under this warranty.
